This is just a quick rant, nothing special – about the new feature Google has put into Gmail – the calling feature. I don’t even know what it’s officially called, if it even has a name. I checked my mail a few days back and saw THIS shenanigan:

Ok I wouldn’t say it’s completely pointless since you can basically make free calls from your browser which sounds nice. Maybe other people will find this “exciting”, but it’s eh to me. On top of that, everyone’s saying that it’s gonna somehow replace freakin SKYPE. I do not understand – gigantic question mark. I guess I kind of do, since the idea of both is to make free calls, but Skype is its own program with a lot of features…..unless you’re so desperate to make a call that you just can’t wait to install a program and you would rather call from your email (…..??). I believe calls in and between US and Canada are free (yeah, they’re right next to us, no point in charging us for that pft) and international calls are at 2¢/min. That’s not that bad actually, but I’d rather use Skype where I can call people everywhere for free xD well the only difference here is that Gmail is calling actual phones, not just another computer. You can also do that with Skype, but I forgot what the rates and stuff are = .=; not that bad, though.

All in all, I doubt this new Gmail feature will come anywhere close to beating down Skype. NEVAR!!!!

Agh, you know what? I’ve been on a posting roll lately. And if you haven’t seen the “YOOOO!!!!” one yet, I (don’t)suggest you go check it out cause it’s mad awesome (if you want brain damage) ;P it should be about two posts down from this one YAO~

Anyways, I started playing some pokemon lately cause, you know, I’m a loser, and I still haven’t completed HGSS yes. Again, cause I’m a loser. So yeah, I looked into the new games coming around next year spring-ish, called Pokemon Black & White. At first, I saw some of the leaked 5th gen pokemon and went WTF for a good 10mins. I mean they’re not bad, but it didn’t feel like the pokemon that we all knew and loved. Then I found out that the whole idea was to make this feel “new” – this includes not showing any of the previous gen pokemon at first.

Yeap, those are the covers for it – releasing in Japan in a few weeks. I actually don’t hate the new legendaries, they look pretty interesting, but the new gen pokemon don’t scream “pokemon” at you, if you know what I mean….especially this new eagle-ish pokemon. It looks awesome, but not in a pokemon way X.X I MAKE NO SENSE. Ok, here it is:

Yeah, I love it, but…..HMMM it’s leaning a little towards digimon xD OH NO I DIDN’T.

There are some really nice aesthetic changes though, like enhanced graphics – things are looking a little more 3D there (things only looked a bit more 3D in HGSS in very few places, like the Gamefreak building roof), and I appreciate that ;] they also added an interesting time feature along with the already awesome day+night – SEASONS. Freakin seasons. The seasons change every month and this greatly affects what pokemon you run into. Also, your character changes outfits according to the season~ that’s just cute XD you know what else is? This exclusive pokemon with the ID #000:

And as for the seasons, I tried to find a picture where they show the seasonal scenery changes, but no luck….BUT there is another quirk that comes with this season feature….a rainbow-colored bambi pokemon:

You know what, while I’ll at it, I might as well show you how weird the starters are, too…..THEY MAKE ME GO WHA.

Oh, those were the new characters for the game. I actually don’t hate them at all, that girl looks really outgoing (and maybe obnoxious). I’m just really baffled about her shorts cause those are the weirdest ripped edges I’ve ever seen. But then again, this is pokemon. You can’t question pokemon. It just is xD

I totally lied about this being a not-so-important post, didn’t I xDDD oh wells…..I’ve been wanting to blab about the new game anyways. I actually think I’ll get it….cause for once, it’s somewhat different. There are some core changes as well, so I’ll be looking forward to it ;] but for now, I have to concentrate on finishing HGSS >.< HORRRAAAAA!!!!!
